UI Practice #2: Design Language

It’s not every day that a blog comes to life, and in the spirit of things, we’ve decided to mock up a draft of what a Design Language Co app could look like.
Obviously we’re a blog and don’t claim to be anymore than such, so it would feature our stories and articles, with a pretty simple design system.
Here’s where it get’s exciting—since our end goal is to create a community, an app that doesn’t make you feel like you’re interacting with other users is such another echo chamber. So we decided to build community features into our design language.
Users can each choose a unique color that’s randomly generated. With their identifying colors they can leave snippets or comments on a blog—this will also reflect on the home page. This feature aims at create interactions between users, even if they can’t directly interact.
The rest of the app hasn’t been envisioned yet, but now that we’re on the topic it sounds like it would need to have a profile with rich community sections such as comment history and favorite comments, with a social aspect of following your favorite commenters.
